NU LOBE™

Our gearboxes are constructed using NU LOBE™ gears, which optimize the roller gear profile. These gearboxes are up to 50 percent lighter and able to pack more torque in less space.

Adapters

Our Adapters weigh as little as 10 lbs. with a maximum at 30 lbs., and we are developing them for NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) configurations. IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) configurations can be made as specials. Pictured here is our latest model featuring a flex-frame adapter.

GHP Series Planetary Gearheads

The GHP Series can be modified to create high reduction gearheads. Ratios can reach 1000:1 and higher. These high ratio units use small motors and the adapters conveniently furnish the appropriate configuration to mount them.

The GHP Series fit NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) configuration motor frames from 1/4 through 30 horsepower and extend motor housings as little as 2.5 inches.

This line features:
  • compact, aluminum housings
  • heat treatable output shafts
  • outstanding overhung load capacities
  • lightweight, high density, no jackshafts
  • well balanced, perform at high speeds
  • inputs keyed to the motor shafts, outputs duplicate NEMA configurations

 

This product uses roller gears, is shock load resistant, offers premium weight-to-torque ratio, is cost effective and easily modified.

This product series is available in 5:1, 4:1, and 3:1 ratios for single stage and 9:1 up to 125:1 for double and triple stage.

Adapters

Motor and Shaft Adapters
Both accept IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) or NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) configurations. Contact us for information about our Shaft Adapters.

Motor Adapters
Whether designing drives for easy maintenance, quick conversion or minimum inventories, NEMA gearheads should be considered. We have taken advantage of minimum axial dimension in designing this adapter module. The combined unit’s L dimension remains the lowest in the industry. Our Adapters are lightweight, sturdy, and easy to mount. The housing unit will fit into both the foot and flange mount. By combining our Adapters with our GHP Planetary line, design engineers can create NEMA gearheads.

Modified Units

The GHP Series can be modified to create high reduction gearheads. Ratios can reach 1000:1 and higher.

Modified units allow for unique designs, and can be customized to specify: housing dimension and bolt, patterns, input and output shafts, and size. An example is below.

Aluminum Housings

Our chain-based internal gears are mounted in lightweight aluminum housings that allow for design flexibility (easy to change the number of pitches) and competitive short run pricing. In addition, the chain spreads the force over the entire 360 degrees and the rollers act as miniature journal bearings, thereby increasing load capacity. Also a weight savings of up to 50 percent can be achieved.
